The Mundan is a crucial stage in a child’s life and one of the sixteen samskaras, a set of rituals and rites of passage in Hinduism that mark important stages in a person’s life, from conception to death<\/strong>. The word samskara is derived from Sanskrit and means “purification”, “perfection” or “sacrament”. These rituals aim to purify the body and mind, prepare them for the different phases of life and sanctify them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
